Disable traction control

Post by blegace1 » Sat Jun 16, 2018 5:55 am

I just received a 2005 freestyle and I'm trying to get it road worthy as cheap as possible. Is there a way to make sure the rear wheels never get power without causing system failures. Such as disconnecting power to a clutch or just removing the driveshaft? With the traction control light on in the dashboard I'm pretty sure it's not working anyways but I also don't want to buy 4 new tires when 2 of them still look new and I'm okay without the awd. I have done many Google and forum searches but have been unable to find a good solution so I was hoping someone that has done this might be able to help out. Thanks.

Surest way would be to remove the driveshaft.
