Stoplight switch

Post by Ginja_Ninja » Fri Jun 15, 2018 1:06 pm

Hello anyone/everyone!
Ok, so I found a couple posts about no cruise control and brake lights stay on. I know that I have to replace the stop light switch, but have been struggling to figure out how!!
Any suggestions would be great.
Please and thank you.

... I know where it is and have the replacement switch, I just can't remove the one that needs to be replaced.

When I replaced on on a 62 NewYorker it was on the brake pedal arm.
Drove an 06 LTD FWD from July 08 to August 10, moved on to a 2011 Flex

Old post I see, but I remember doing this, and plan to comment for anyone else struggling that finds this. I had quite the struggle with getting that switch out. The trick I ended up having to do was to lift the brake pedal up and pull it out at the same time. Then it came out no problem!
