Wow some news you might have missed... as you may or may now know, two of the biggest upcoming world markets are China and India.

Well, in India, Ford has introduced the Ford Freestyle nameplate.

These new "bubble top" style vehicles, >Honda CRV, RAV 4, etc, and now, the "new" Freestyle dont look like they have much headroom in the second row seat. You could haul the kids in the back seat, throw in a golf bag in the storage behind the seat and you have a full vehicle. I see a plus as better gas mileage, but at what cost for lack of room? I'll have to read the links to see if it still has the gocart CVT, and the "hillbilly" torque converter, (one tooth, to drive the trans pump). I wouldnt trade my '07 AWD for anything Ive seen on the used SUV market. My AC performance is poor, I have the condenser that has its lower fins beat flat from being exposed to road debris, (grasshopper plague), from the opening in the lower grill. Drivers rear door lock actuator gear stripped, not working. Valve covers both leaking. 158,000 miles. All fixable.

Oops 158 not 258,000

...The petrol is a 1.2-litre motor, which churns out 95 bhp and there's a peak torque of 120 Nm on offer...

Wow. this is almost a joke. the car is no where as long in length. but i can see why, can't get around the small streets in these streets in India. looks like a Hyundai or Toyota.. i guess after 10 years you can re-use a car name?
