O2 Oxygen Sensor? 06 Freestyle P0133 P0138

Post by donald402 » Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:15 pm

I have an '06 Freestyle. Getting a couple CELs.

P0133 is defined as an Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

P0138 - guessing this code was triggered because of the first sensors issue.

I'm having problems figuring out what sensor to get.

Is this the correct part: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N8PQ86U/

Or could some post the OEM part number for me to cross reference?

The sensor likely needs replacing but if you have access to a scan tool you should monitor live sensor readings to see what's actually happening. Do not buy a cheap aftermarket sensor IMHO, stick with Motorcraft. Check RockAuto.com to confirm part #s.

There are actually three O2 sensors in the 2005 to 2007 Freestyle. There is an O2 sensor upstream of each of the catalytic converters and one located downstream.

Use a proper OBD2 code reader to detirmine the correct faulty sensor.
