T-Rex/Freestyle seat interchangeability confirmation

Post by Karl Gant » Thu Nov 02, 2017 9:58 pm

Hello everyone, 1st post for me....

I am fixin' to buy some seat covers from Wet Okole for my 2009 T-Rex. The only model they have listed on their drop down menus are for the Freestyle. Just making sure that the Freestyle covers are the ones I need. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, the T-Rex is just a Freestyle with a different badge, the seats are the same.
Drove an 06 LTD FWD from July 08 to August 10, moved on to a 2011 Flex

I don't want to de-rail this thread, but since you are talking about seats...

Anyone here has issue with their seat motor?

I've been taking out my niece for practice and she pushes the seat up. I got back in the car afterward... and the seat did NOT return to its orginal position upon me working the switches. I drove home with my knees to my chest (figuratively). Finally, when I got home, I kept pushing and pushing back while having my hands on the switch and I finally got it return. Now I'm skeptical of moving the seat up again.

When you're tall its a hazard to drive with the seat up, cause its slows your reaction time when switching pedals. You can no longer pit at the ball of your foot vs lifting your foot.

I guess this the start to a potential problem, I wouldn't mind getting the motor a head of time.

Thanks.
