The Freestyle radio is crazy easy to remove.

You don't want that one. You want this:

Yes, crazy easy to replace the factory setup. If you have a factory sub though, and you want to use it, you need to add a couple of resistors to the mix at a cost of about $2.00 for the parts. Beyond that, I highly suggest you do the swap out.

Wow, great I asked. A lot cheaper. I also saw this brand on ebay but not listed as compatible with Freestyle. Does it matter? Or I just need to buy the matching connector adapter and double DIN install kit separately?

Just get the metra dash kit and harness. Disgustingly easy, no fooling around.

I'll add a rear camera too. How to route the cable properly to the radio cabin?

Maybe need the antenna extension cable too?

No extension needed for antenna with the Boss.

As for the backup cam, I took the easy and fast way to mount...Mounted under the rear bumper cover, wires go up thru an access hole already in place, and just tucked the wire under the interior panel edges. Easy peasy. :D

I'll have a tow hitch installed behind the bumper cover. So the camera has to be somewhere close to the license plate/lamp. Doesn't sounds hard though. Just need some time to try it.
