New Used 2007 Freestyle

Post by Neon » Mon Aug 21, 2017 2:48 pm

Hello from sunny Virginia Beach, VA.
I just purchased used 2007 Ford Freestyle yesterday. 91800 original miles. Titled and registered it this morning along with a detailing, top to bottom (cat fir and smoking).

Everything looks great and drives better.

One issue: A/C does blow cool air but on the highest fan setting the system shuts down.
After some research, it appears the blower motor resistor doesn't regulate the highest setting of the fan.

Is this a correct statement?
If so, what is causing the fan to shut the system down in it's highest setting.

Please advise.

Congrats!

The issue could be a bad blower motor or resistor that is right next to the blower. I replaced both in my '07 and problem solved.

Hey Splicer,
Would you happen to have a picture of the location of the resistor in the 07 Freestyle?

I have a 07 ford freestyle limited AWD, Few months ago I replaced the alternator and battery. Couple days ago I replaced the drivers coil spring an shocks, an ever since doing so my car will not start unless I get a jump from somebody. Does anybody know what the issue may be? I have 3 little ones an rly can't afford to put anymore $$ into it but also needs to be safe to drive!! Thanks in advance!!

Even new batteries can go bad. I suggest you start there - where you got it from. Have it checked.

Double check the connections are clean and tight on the battery.
