2009 Taurus Central lock system is shorted

Postby Rudy2705 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 4:31 pm

Hi, I'm new to the forum but I've had my 2009 Taurus for 5 years now without any major issues...until now! My door locks keep unlocking, specially when it's wet outside, motor running or not. I tried removing the door lock fuse but the problem is still there, meaning that at night the headlights come on has if I unlocked the doors with my fob, continuously until my battery dies. Any clues?

Captain Obvious here. You have a short somewhere. I would check the fuse boxes-inside and under hood. Check your grounds and battery connections. Check your battery. And maybe the key fob. It could be going haywire.

But honestly...I'm just throwing some guesses out there. Electrical gremlins are VERY difficult to diagnose over the web.
