'07 Freestyle

Postby kyledelp » Thu Feb 02, 2017 8:53 pm

Found this beauty a couple weeks back and decided to pull the trigger on it today. '07 Freestyle SEL FWD. Nicely equipped with NAV system. 89k on the odometer. It drives beautifully and is in fantastic shape. Excited to be a part of the club and learn more about this vehicle! I'm located in Kansas City. Any other KC folks here?

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll love it. Just have the CVT fluid and high pressure filter replaced as soon as possible for your own peace of mind. Looks great! Ours is getting ready to turn to 280,000 and I still love it!

I totally plan on trying to get at least 225 to 250 thousand miles out of my freestyle. It has 137000 miles on it now if she should ever get hit or go prematurely I very much intend to get another freestyle or a Taurus - x or a flex which is the nearest in production relative of the freestyle

The Taurus X is essentially the Freestyle without the CVT. The Flex is pretty much the same vehicle as the Taurus X with a different outer appearance.

Has anyone added the roof cross bars to their 07 Freestyle and if so, what make and model works best/looks best/is easiest to install?

Do you know what the distance between the rails is? Also are they closer at the rear than at the front?
Several of us on the Flex forum have found unbranded Whispbar style rails on e-bay. They did require longer bolts to mount but they work pretty well.
