Whilst perusing the local Craigslist I checked out an ad for a Freestyle. In the description it stated this car had the 3.0 engine with the "power boost switch". I've seen it several times in the description of a Freestyle but never really thought about it. Is this a real thing, or is it the "Econ/Power" switch that a lot of cars have.

All FS that have a CVT will have the switch AFAIK.
AFAIK all it really does is force the CVT into a lower "gear" but I know, on my FS, it was like hitting ludicrous mode on a Tesla. It made the FS *very* aggressive on acceleration in comparison to "normal" mode. It was pretty cool. I have the 6-speed now so my switch no longer works. What exactly does the switch do?
