Speaker Upgrade With Original Head Unit No Sub

Looking to upgrade my speakers in the Freestyle with keeping my original head unit ( six disc player)
no sub, any recommendations has anyone done this already .I don't want to buy something blindly .

Have my eye on some JBL speakers from Crutchfield

I love Polk speakers. I have been using them on my cars and my home for many years. They have the most natural sound to my ears, and they are not terribly expensive. My FS has Polk speakers in it that I got from Crutchfield. If you buy from them, they throw in the adapter wires so you can use your existing wiring for free.
