a/c speed is not changing

Post by lynch8787 » Fri Mar 01, 2019 7:57 am

this problem has been going on for a couple of months, and i'm not sure exactly what i need to do. the temperature controls seem to work just fine, but the fan speed does not change. i replaced the resistor in the passenger side footwell, but the problem was only fixed temporarily. after a week or so, the fan decided to go full throttle again.

this is the resistor i bought. it's not oem, so could that be my only issue? if i pay the extra 20 or 30 for the oem, should all my problems be taken care of?

also, unrelated, but i've been uber driving with this car lately, and i love it. i have gotten a lot of positive feedback from parents of more than one kid, and young adults who want to haul some stuff around.

bonus follow up question, can i easily convert this to a more simple ac control system? i prefer the more basic controls with knobs
i saw this linked in another thread about a cursed ac system

is it swappable with the freestyle's controls?

That is perfect! Any idea if that is a direct swap? Will I be able to swap a couple of connections and go?
