Color Question

Post by rband » Thu Sep 28, 2006 2:09 pm

Hi folks, got an interesting question on exterior colors. I have an '06 SE that I picked up used and is a 2-tone with a metallic beige on top with metallic gold cladding. It looks great but I can't figure out what the color names are. The paint codes off the tag are G3 and AQ. I can identify the G3, that's Pueblo Gold but I can't identify the AQ. I wasn't able to find the code by looking under the Freestye paint colors but I did find an AQ under a generic Ford listing which deocded to Arizona Beige Metallic. Now, I think I've got this pretty much figured out that the body is the Arizona Beige and the cladding is the Pueblo Gold but I can't find any Ford documentation that shows this color combination. The only info I can find shows just the Pueblo Gold but nothing on the Beige. Anybody got an '06 brochure or some info that can shed some light on this combination?

Thanks,
rband

My 2005 brochure shows the Pueblo Gold Metallic (body color) coming with Arizona Beige Metallic cladding on the SE and SEL models. I assume that is the same color combination used on the 2006's.

My booklet shows the Pueblo gold metalic as the body color and the Arizona beige as the cladding color on page 29.

I was very glad to be able to contribute! And friend, that is a fabulous color combination. It sure doesn't show dirt like white and black do.

Or the Dark Blue Pearl .... but I still like the color. Just have to keep it clean. :)

You're right - it hardly shows the dirt. That's an extra bonus especially since I didn't have a color choice!.

Thanks again guys!

Speaking about colors, does anyone have the Freestyle in the Charcoal Grey color? I am wondering if that color shows the dirt as much? I've never owned a grey car before, so I'm curious if that's a good color choice.

I have a 05 Freestyle Pueblo Gold G3 two tone I am trying to identify the lower half color. I have some touch up to do around my fog light and have no idea what the hell the color code is.

Called Ford they where no help have them my VIN all they have on file was the primary G3 color. The good news is I found a paint chart online now I just need to figure out which one is a match to my
two tone secondary color.

I have attached the chart for anyone else that needs it.
