Hi all, just got done putting everything back together after a transmission rebuild. I had a bolt laying on the ground after I was done that I can't for the life of me remember where it goes. It's a M6 bolt (8 mm head) with a rather large shank on it (see photo). I had it laying on the driver's side of the car under the fender. I did take the bumper off to unbolt the radiator support to get enough room to pull out the transmission from the top. I also took off everything attached to the transmission, as well as the cooling system including the water pump. Anyone recognize it?
Good guess, but it's far, far smaller than those. I actually figured out what it's for finally today. It's the bolt that holds the side of the headlight assembly. Luckily I could fit it in without having to take the whole bumper off again.
