Considering a Freestyle or X

Post by gijim2k1 » Mon Feb 17, 2014 11:20 am

New here, found this forum and decided to join since I am looking at either a 2007 Freestyle or a 2008 Taurus X to replace my wife's 2003 Buick Rendezvous. Looking to get her into a Ford to go along with my '06 F-150. The Freestyle is local and the X is 200 miles away in Boulder. I'm getting alot of good info off this forum. Good news on the Freestyle is that the dealer is currently replacing the transmission so if that is a problem on these cars (not convinced that it is from all I've read) it should be taken care of. Anything else I should be aware of with these cars?

I just and I mean just picked up my second freestyle this weekend I really love these cars that is why we have 2 in the family, with a new tranny I would be all over the fs over the tx having been just in the market I am willing to wager the fs is cheaper and with the new gearbox go for it all things being equal
