Post by Tebbs » Sat Dec 22, 2018 10:11 am

Hello all. My son just bought 2005 freestyle. It needs new rotors and pads. Any recommendations as to what to use ? Thanks.

I buy from am auto parts on ebay when possible.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nakamoto-Front ... nav=SEARCH
$131 for 4 rotors... 2 sets of pads. Includes shipping and no sales tax.. Usually 3 to 4 days to get order.

Autozone also has lifetime pad replacement. $60 for 2 sets of ceramic pads. If can get by with just brake pad replacement.

General recommendation just try to get ceramic pads, and if you can afford them coated rotors to prevent rust. I shop amazon, or rockauto for all my car parts. Occasionally I'll get stuff from the napa near me.

I recently had Rotors and pads done I decided to spend some extra money so they would
last and not have the common issues of Rotors warping.

I went with Motorcraft all the way, like the old saying goes you get what you pay for .

X2 on the Motorcraft. I tend to always go OEM or Tier 1 replacement. I put motorcraft pads and rotors on my FS 10 months ago, the anti-rust coating on the hat of the rotors still looks like they got unboxed yesterday.

I also found the price competitive off of Rockauto.com. I recently hung all motorcraft struts on the car too.
