The Flex and the Freestyle are just about the same inside.
Drove an 06 LTD FWD from July 08 to August 10, moved on to a 2011 Flex

They were both company cars. I would have driven the Freestyle longer if given the chance, I liked it. The Flex replaced it and retired along with me in '14.

I bought the my 2011 Flex brand new had a Five Hundred also and just Recently bought a used Taurus X. The Flex and the Trex about the same from the rear seats on back inside. A lot different in the front sides and dash.

The Five Hundred seats were narrow and hard. The Flex seats nice and confy. The Trex seats are in between. Of course the Flex sits higher than the other two. Also theFlex has the most comfortable feeling steering wheel I ever had.
