2006: 48, about average

2005: 61, about average

A big thanks to this forum and everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

We have updated results for the Freestyle to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2007: 41, better than average

2006: 55, about average

2005: 68, about average

We've also introduced two new statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

The percentage with no repairs is about 49 for the 2005, 55 for the 2006, and 68 for the 2007, while the percentage of lemons is about 7 for the 2005 and less than one for the 2006 and 2007.

Nada-odds and Lemon-odds car reliability stats

A big thank you, once again, to this forum and everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in February and May. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

First and foremost in my opinion CR is a crock! How about doing a reliability study with real people in real situations CR? Basicly I read real people reviews to form an opinion! People who have owned the vehicle (Any vehicle) more than 15 minutes and put it through real life paces. 16 soccer games on the weekends, 45 bag chairs loaded in the back with the dog, 14 kids, and McDonalds chicken nuggets spilled all over the interior and screaming Mom, he hit me! Now thats what I am looking for!

Some corrosion has started bubbling up on the leading edge of the hood of my Taurus X. Has anyone also had this happen with their Freestyle?

Surveys are very much like pre-ellection poles, it depends who you ask. Some defend their vehicle no matter what, others condemn their vehicle no matter what. As one politician once said,
"Poles are for dogs to piss on".
