Side mirror

Post by Wheelman » Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:31 am

Does anyone know how to remove the side mirror out of its housing without removing the inside door panel? Is there a way to string a wire to the inside of the car through the mirror housing. I want to install chevrons (signal arrows on the mirrors) and they need to have a wire tapped into the signal light wires.

I don't specifically know how to do it, but I think you're almost certainly going to need to remove the interior door panel. Even if you manage to get the mirror out and run the wires into the door you'll need the panel off in order to run the wires the rest of the way. (There should be a path into the door from inside the mirror, though... the power mirrors need to get their power from somewhere)
