Moog tie rod end torque spec?

Post by ChiefNugget231 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 3:53 pm

Just ordered Moog outer tie rod ends. Do any of you know if the nut should be torqued to the same spec as the OEM part, which I believe is 85 ft-lbs per the service manual?

Thanks.

I do not know for certain about this specific situation, but as a rule, most quality aftermarket parts (like Moog) are generally designed to be used in the same manner and with the same specs as factory parts.

The part brand doesn't change the torque spec.

Thanks guys. I figured it was most likely the same but thought that maybe the ball joint has differences in design from one maker to another which affect the torque spec. Nothing was specified on the part packaging so I will go with the OEM spec, which is 85 ft-lbs.
