I bought my "07 Freestyle SEL in Feb of 2008 with 55,000 miles on it. It's now Dec 2012 and I have 189,000 miles on it. Yes, I drive a lot and I love my Freestyle! Never had a major problem with it in 4 years. Just now going to have to replace the rear brakes for the first time since I've owned it. Always serviced it every couple months for oil changes and its paid off in reliability! Most amazing trouble free car I've ever owned other than my 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. My previous cars, Mercedes, BMW don't hold a candle to this gem of a car !! 8)

Bought my 2005 Ltd. with 91,500 on it a year and a half ago, now it has 111,500. The extended warranty has made life with the car a lot more pleasant, although I have paid about $3,800 out of pocket for some repairs. (Brakes, thottle body, AC high pressure switch, CVT drain and refill, tires, tune up, oil changes)

The repairs that were covered under warranty were: new front struts, new steering returning shaft, new inner and outer tie rods, new throttle body, new A/C compressor, new input shaft, bearings and gaskets in PTU, new mechatronics unit & new power steering pump.

From NJ, it's been on road trips as far south as South Carolina and as far north as New Hampshire. The car was bought without knowing the repair history, thus the need for the extended warranty. My thottle body went out on a road trip from NJ to SC, and as luck would have it, there was a Ford dealership a mile away from the resort I stayed in. The bad news was it wasn't covered under my basecare warranty. The thing about this vehicle is once it does go, I need to find something similar. it seems like a lot of things were wrong with this car, but the car never left me stranded. I would bring the vehicle in for an oil change, ask the dealer to check a part, and they would confim what I was thinking was right and fix it. The car went into limp home mode twice, once with the throttle body and once with the PTU. I wil still drive this car anywhere. My previous hauler was a '98 Land Rover Discovery LSE, and I wouldn't take that truck on a trip that I couldn't walk home from.

UPDATE (4/23/13): now at 115,300, still going strong. Got to take care of some minor gasket leaks, and check my engine and transmounts, but that's about it. Still very dependable vehicle.

High Five New Jersey.

Also it looks like you've been through ALL the fun stuff I'm about to go through with my 05 SE.

2006 FWD SEL that was a gift from my uncle seeing as he was going to trade it in. It had over 160K on it then. It's now at 210K with an engine replacement around 190K last year.

Night, what condition is yours in now? I'm @ 85K on a 2006 and it looks brand new almost, even underneath. And that is through several New enlgand winters. Like to get 150 out of it if I can, about 4 more years. I have an extended warranty that so far has replaced the alternator and rear carrier.

Cosmetically, it's nearly spotless on the outside except for the scratches from his ex-wife's nails behind the door handles and missing the fog light housing on both sides and the interior is in fairly good condition. Mechanically, it's worn out, but limping along. I replaced the engine and the starter in late '11, one of the valves needed replacing in the refrigerant lines that summer, and my power steering is a mess until I can get a breaker bar to reach the pump and replace a single, small hose assembly. Most of that is just due to bad luck (gosh darn it, Ford! >.<) and excessive wear and tear. My uncle owns and operates 13 businesses across 4 states and has to travel quite a bit to check up on each of them, so he ends up trading out cars fairly often.

Now passed 141K with a brand new CVT and recall done on throttle body. The car is now in very good shape.

Mine is a 2005 bought used 2 years ago with 136k and change. The only issue we have had with it so far is the AWD Malfunction message in the data center, going to try a fluid replacement and see if that helps.

I think I meant 201K here because I'm only at 205.6K now. Either way, it's still running strong with some minor fixes needed and no more signs of CVT/mechatronics issues.
