Well...today is the first morning it has been moderatley cool (36°). And my wife told me that it did the whole wrench light and not shifting again.

So I'm back to thinking either the solenoids don't want to function when cold OR the fluid (Valvoline) may just be too thick when it gets cold.

I have Valvoline CVT fluid in mine and it is fine in 28 degree [and lower] weather so I don't think that is your issue.

Ok. So I feel confident it isn't the fluid. Solenoids were changed by the previous owner (at least that's the story). But it'll warm up soon and not be an issue. So I may wait to check those as it will require all new fluid. And might as well change my pan filter-which may be my issue.

I don't know. I'll fiddle with it eventually. Thanks for the response Splicer.

But then again, when it is cold out, I have my wife warm the car. We NEVER just get in and drive. I won't allow it. ;)
