Re: Throttle body HELP

I bought a used but lifetime guaranteed TCM for two hundred US from transmissionelectricstore and got whole mechatronic unit. My car wouldn’t get out of limp mode until transmission oil got up to 180 degrees fit. I bought a Scan tool so I could read oil temp once it got that warm I could clear my co...

Re: Throttle body HELP

Hi sounds a bit like mine after fixing helicopter noise(input shaft needle bearing) ended up being mechatronic was not sending temperature data correctly to PCM which was putting it in limp mode until oil warmed up. Is your problem showing wrench light?

P0942 and TCM

Hello wondering if anyone has changed there TCM on the mechatronic unit and eliminated the 942 code. I can clear mine once the transmission warms up above 180 degrees F and sometimes it will stay off (the wrench light and associated limp mode) when I turn engine off and back on but not always. Bough...

Thanks MMSTAR I haven’t actually checked it that much and I just read somewhere about it throwing the wrench light on.

Re: How common are the CVT issues?

Hi Jim here in Kamloops BC. I have a 07 2wd SE I bought six years ago with I think about 80000 Kms on it worked great for 3 and 3/4 years until 215000 kms then took out input shaft needle bearing. Fixed all that myself but can’t get it out of limp mode which appears to be really hard to diagnose. Wo...

Re: CFT30--CVT TRANS HELP NEEDED.. PARTS ETC..

I took mine apart last year and made my own tools I could send you dimensions and pics of what I built if you have access to anywhere to build things out of steel. I didn’t take my oil pump apart which will sometimes cause some grief. Let me know I would be glad to help. I am in British Columbia. Yo...

Re: 2005 CVT Different from 2006?

Wondering what symptoms you had when your TCM died? I am suspecting that is my issue but haven’t ever heard of anyone but you replacing just the TCM on the mechatronic. My transmission worked after changing input shaft needle bearing but then the next day couldn’t get wrench light to go off. Any inp...

Re: Code P0942

hi Jim here in BC Canada wondering about solenoid filters I tried a couple of times to get them off and wasn<t able to figure out how. I did the input shaft bearing and the car worked perfect for about 80 kms and since then always has wrench light and limp mode . I am suspecting TCM but the symptoms...

Re: Same old story 05 Freestyle problem

This may be too late to help much but if you drop the pan and also take out the mechatronic unit and let it drain you will eventually have about eight litres of oil out of the transmission. Hope this helps. You do have to be careful disconnecting the electrical connectors to the mexhatronic unit as ...

thats what my ford parts guy in Kamloops BC Canada said too. Sad cuz there not that hard to take apart but fairly labour intensive
