When was the last time its' fuel filter changed?

At cold weather? Turn key half way on without starting engine, count to 10-15 seconds, then start engine.

Re: Side mirror safety light

Last night, first time of many years, my whole Freestyle was covered with 1/2" ice. I was able to only open the driver's door. Re: Check engine codes

One year anniversary, fuel cap light came on then turned into "check engine light" again. It was two days ago. Dealer said $179 to find the problem, but $100 deductible for whatever repair it may be, with the warranty. Really don't want to spend the money. Can I just disconnecting the battery? I wil...

Re: Average mpg dropped by 4? HELP

I am guessing you resetting the mpg while driving slow or stopped.
I am guessing you recently drove a lot in local stop and go, may be also idle a lot more.

Re: Swap 500 6 sp into Freestyle not possible.

I was well on the way to trying this swap myself, I bought a 6 speed transmission, ECU, SJB and key, all from the same Ford Five Hundred. Then I saw an article in Trans Magazine? about pressure loss and symptoms- long story short I fixed my freestyle for about $100.00!! The secondary variator cover...

...... but at least carrying around 700 more lbs.
I kind of like the styling of them, but can't imagine I will buy a much heavier vehicle. Plus only 33" headroom at the 3rd row!
