Re: Passsenger door lock not working as power lock - where to start?

There is a lock actuator in each door. The one in the pass. door has failed. It could be an expensive job to have the dealer repair it. The part itself isnt too expensive, you can get them (made in china) on Ebay for $9 or so. Its the labor that runs the bill up. Get an estimate from the dealer and ...

Re: Steering tight

https://www.myfordfreestyle.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5996 You cant buy just the U-joint. You can either spray it with lube once a month, or buy the whole shaft with the U-joint attached. You would be lucky to find one in a junk yard that doesnt have some wear on it, since the lower one is exposed ...

This forum is for 2005 to 2007 Freestyles, not the newer style that you own. Since no one in the USA has one? I dont think we can help you.

Re: What a GEM of a car

Rodken:

Some have reported stripped trans pan screw holes when re-tightening steel screws in the aluminum trans housing. Some, if they change filters at all, change the HP filter only, as it sees the trans fluid first, then the fluid goes through the pan filter as a secondary filter.

Re: Changed throttle body, still fail safe mode

Have you seen this? https://www.obd-codes.com/p2135 I'd check the wiring harness from the throttle body for rubbing, which might have damaged wires. IDK where the accelerator pedal sensor is, but check the wiring harness there also. If harnesses are good, Id try a accelerator pedal sensor from the j...

Re: Rear Window Defroster Delay In Turning On

I would suspect a bad switch. I dont remember any complaints here, of worn wires in the in car wire harness, from rubbing against something under the dash.

Re: Charged AC, now Check Engine came on.

Besides the electrical connector, I remember it has some rubber hoses connected to it. I was pretty rough with mine, moving it out of my way once it was off the bracket. Didnt feel like the rubber hoses connected to it were fragile. If you moved the CPV out of the way, and didnt reconnect the electr...

Re: newbie idk about limp mode

Welcome to the forum. Could be a number of reasons the trans is not working and the ECU is in limp mode. Search the forum for 'helicopter noise' from trans in park and neutral. If you have it, its a 'death rattle' for that trans. If you arent hearing that, if you can, get it over to a major chain au...

Re: Wrench light and P0701 code

You would also look for any sparkles in the HP filter. The input shaft is chrome plated and when it flakes off you will see something like fine glitter in the folds of the filter. Once enough of the chrome finish wears off the input shaft, the bearing starts to wobble on the shaft and that gives the...

This may help. https://www.myfordfreestyle.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4011#p27803 You didnt say if you have cloth, (I would guess), or leather. These seat covers are not meant to be washed, maybe not even color fast. If they got real wet, the mold, mildew that stinks may be in the foam under the cov...

Re: Wrench light and P0701 code

RockOn, you know others have had pan screws strip out in the trans. aluminum case when overtightening? For that reason, and the reason that the high pressure filter does the initial filtering, and the pan filter secondary, some dont change the pan filter. The high pressure filter if clean or dirty m...
