Center Dash Storage Compartment Lid

My 2006 Ford Freestyle Ltd has not only a broken hinge on the Dash Storage Compartment Lid (black in color) and the Gear Track also broke off it. Anyone know where to find a lid or have a workaround? Note: The dealer does not sell parts to fix it and at this time there are none on Ebay the correct c...

Re: A/C Problems with 2005 Ford Freestyle: Everyone Please R

Heres an update on where my AC repair left off. I had tried the 1/4" nut behind the sroll compressor valve cover plate and it worked just fine but I still wanted to put a new valve in it. I purchased, received and today installed the new valve. It does come with a new green O-ring gasket. Recharged ...

Re: OSB II Code P440

Just an update on this issue: Found the culprit. The vehicle has two purge solenoids, one at the Cannister and other in the engine compartment on the passenger side up by the firewall. This solenoid in the engine has two hoses that attach to it and these hoses and connectors stay locked on the solen...

Re: A/C Problems with 2005 Ford Freestyle: Everyone Please R

Just an update on my repairs. The AC control valve has not arrived from Techparts yet but I worked on the Freestyle on Saturday trying out the 1/4" thick nut repair concept. First I evacuated the system, unbolted the 10mm bolt closest to the engine block, loosened the other 10mm bolt and rotated the...

Re: A/C Problems with 2005 Ford Freestyle: Everyone Please R

Well my AC started blowing cold air out on one side of the front vents and cold on the other. Added freon and it seemed to be ok for a month or so. Now the other day is just blowed mildy cool air 60 - 70°F and now its warm. Had the Oil Change place who also checks AC for free look at the pressures a...

OSB II Code P0442 Problem

Gas Cap was replaced with a OEM Ford Cap and is always tight so thats not the problem. Who else has experienced this code and what was...

Re: Drivers side seat heater repair and costs

Well I ordered a new heater pad for the drivers side seat bottom and have to send back the burned out Dorman one back to Rock Auto for the Lifetime Warranty credit. Since this is the 3rd replacement and I am tired of fooling with the hog rings, this time I am not going to put the rings back in but j...

Re: Drivers side seat heater repair and costs

Oh, great my Driver's side seat is out again for the fourth time. At different times I have replaced the seat bottom 3 times and the back once. Now its out again and I will have to get out my Ohm meter and jumper wire to see which pad went bad again. The Dormont pads have a lifetime warranty however...

Mine went out twice within a 3 months window beside losing a axle seal along the way too. My very special thanks go to Allen Robbins Transmission in Prattville, AL who did all the extra work at no extra charge to me. If you want a great Transmission place go to Allen.
