Re: Front AC cold, rear AC warm

I've scanned the appropriate pages from the manual showing the Aux Mode Door Actuator and the Aux Temp Blend Door Actuator if anyone wants to PM me their e-mail address, I'll send them to you. A description from the manual describes the air flow and controls quoted below: The auxiliary blower motor ...

Re: Front AC cold, rear AC warm

Sounds like you have a true, rear air system as opposed to front air diverted to the rear. The rear air systems are nearly stand alone with the front. I don't believe there are any blend doors between the two systems. They share the compressor and some coolant lines but both the front and rear have ...

Re: RPM's go up when driving, but speed doesn't......HELP

compared to the intake/egr, it is a simple job replacing the catalytic converter. rusted nuts and bolts are the biggest problem. you may need a good penetrating oil and an impact wrench or breaker bar helps. my state does emissions checks but only obd2 or engine light/pcm review, no exhaust sampling...

Re: RPM's go up when driving, but speed doesn't......HELP

you don't mention why you replaced the manifold and egr or whether you are showing cel/codes. if your manifold melted or deformed and your egr fried, it's possible your rear catalytic converter (the one just in front of the muffler under the car) is blocked causing backflow through the egr and intak...

Re: My Ford Accelerates

Could be the known throttle body issue. The unasked for throttle response can have the sensation of acceleration even when applying the brake.

Re: Bent rear arm- what is it called?

search ebay for: 5F9Z 5500-AA looks like they are going for around $70. I bought mine from e-bay and replaced it last year after I got rear ended. I tried bending the damaged one straight but could not even get it close. The car handling was not right until I replaced it with new. Mind the ABS senso...

thanks for the correction, guess I was dozing off when I wrote that...bank 1 is always with cylinder 1 so firewall/right side.

Re: O2/oxygen sensor location

I believe the 'front' of the engine is always the flywheel side (or simply the side with the belt). Everything is left and right relative to the front of the engine. So left is firewall and right is radiator.

Re: Misfire on #2

code P0316 is a misfire within the first 1000 engine revolutions and is set in addition to any type B misfire (not immediately killing you catalytic converter - so less severe than type A). a faulty CKP sensor can be the culprit. it could also be ignition, fuel injector, running out of fuel, bad fue...

Re: 2007 Freestyle Intake Manifold Removal

I believe those are not wires but tubes, vacuum tubes. They attach from the intake manifold to the egr valve and control it. The 'female' rubber ends of the tubes should slide over their 'male' counter parts on the intake manifold and egr.

Re: will not start

Maybe the fuel pump is pulsing and you are sensing it through the vapor canister. I don't know what hose on the throttle body would shake or pulsate. No turnover at all is probably sensor/electric related. First I would make sure my battery is 12.6 volts and if not, try to jump start. Double check e...

Re: Bad throttle body....now no acceleration!!!

starting and idling but unable to accelerate or severe lack of power can be a symptom of a clogged catalytic converter. Reading the codes can help provide clues that could further implicate a clogged cat. a simple test to rule this out without a code reader is to unbolt the exhaust just in front of ...

Re: Help:ABS light on, high rpm.

I am not sure but it may be possible. Several forum members have reported that poor quality wheel bearings can cause abs trouble. At least inspect the speed sensor for damage from connector to placement in the wheel.

Re: Help:ABS light on, high rpm.

May i suggest the possibility of speed sensor damage and may be wheel bearing damage. Our car, awd 05, received rear end damage that severed the speed sensor. Symptoms were much as you described, abs and trac control lights on, car would rev and could not find the right cvt ratio, it was all over th...
