Re: HELP!! Cleaned throttle body now car does't work

Here is a link to a picture of the throttle body on mine. Sometimes it helps to see a picture to make sure every thing is back together properly. The symptoms do sound like a vacuum leak of some sort. I'm not sure how the car would run with a damaged or no MAF sensor. I might unplug mine and see wha...

Re: Video link for Intake Manifold Removal 2005 Freestyle AW

It seems to work fine for me. It is a long video (about 12 min) maybe it just wasn't buffered enough for you to play. Here is what YouTube suggests: Please follow the tips listed below if you're having trouble playing a video and it gets stuck at one pointplays in a choppy fashion (and will not cont...

Re: EGR removal and PCV replacement

If you remove the throttle body you have easy access to the nut holding the EGR to the exhaust. See picture 66 and 64 here: http://cid-dbe71524ed69a4fd.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Car%20Repair/P1020202.jpg Picture 63 shows the intake manifold and EGR removed making easy access to the PCV. Re: Tires for 2007 AWD Limited

I bought the Michelin MXV4 18". 20 thousand miles and they still look new. Very quiet and smooth ride. Sam's had the best price in our area (ordered online and delivered them to the store). Also $70 rebate at the time.

Re: Hello! Dog/Freestyle question

Here is a picture. I have the split bench but the manual says the bench works the same. You must squeeze the handle to unlatch the seat.

Re: Hello! Dog/Freestyle question

Both of the third row seats in my '05 Freestyle lock in the folded flat position. There is a handle/latch for each seat that must be released in order to 'fold inward like a greeting card'. Does the '06 not have these? Or maybe I am not quite understanding where the dog got 'bit' by the folding seats.

Re: Considering a 05 Freestyle - Advice Welcome!

I got my '05 @ 70 thousand miles and now have 130 thousand miles. Very few complaints. Outside of maintenance items it has had a broken front strut, failed door lock actuator and a clogged catalytic converter (after burner, not the front). Overall very pleased and drive it daily.

Re: Re the front Struts how to replace with new ones

The floor jack is for support once the strut is out. It was necessary to use the jack to slowly raise the knuckle back up because of the tight fit on to the new strut. To remove the strut I simply pushed staight down on the rotor and slid the knuckle off of the strut. The halfshaft did overexted as ...

Re: Rattling noise from front

OK, let's start with the easy one. Does the noise occur only during a turn or does it occur all the time on every decent bump, even on straight roads? This can rule out the steering stops. Is the noise bilateral or just one side? Try the old worn shock test as well. Firmly pull up and push down to b...

Re: Rattling noise from front

worn end links? broken strut? worn strut mount? worn ball joint? steering stops? You'll have to try to narrow it down. Do your best with more details and we can help. It's probably one of the above.

Re: Re the front Struts how to replace with new ones

P1020099[1].jpg I've done the struts and mounts. Huge ride and handling change. Of course the drivers side strut was broken and riding only on the spring. I am sorry I no longer have the write up I did for this but here is a link to the pictures: http://cid-dbe71524ed69a4fd.photos.live.com/self.asp...
