Re: 6 disc in dash changer

I've had great luck with hp CD-R disks. Awesome sound, durable, inexpensive. STAPLES stocks them. 8)

Re: WARNING...SPARE TIRE WON'T FIT OVER FRONT BRAKE ASSEMBLY

I had no problem with my 07 'Style mini-spare last winter. Had your spare ever been used before, or can you tell?

Re: Kleenex for center counsel

Yes, Target has them but if you have a Big Lots, try there. Cheaper ($1.00 a box).

Had the same problem. Was replaced under warranty, no problem since (about seven months).

Having recently gone through a relatively minor accident, I can relate to the shock and trauma that you experienced. Glad for you, sorry for your 'Style.

Re: Need opinion on color combo -- is this ugly?

Reference the gravel roads, we got four splash guards/mud flaps installed at our Ford dealer for $100.00. Well worth it to protect the cladding.

Re: Need opinion on color combo -- is this ugly?

Personally, I think that a light gray interior matches a dark gray exterior, but sand/pebble/tan looks out of place. We ran into similar mismatches while shopping for our 'Style, like merlot/gray exterior with tan interior (???). Sometimes think that Stevie Wonder moonlights in Ford's design departm...

Google. The site helped me decide on the purchase and has been a great source of opinion and info. Belatedly, great job, Webmaster.

Re: Flex Edge Freestyle -must be getting old

My wife was leaving the local hospital the other day when she found two senior volunteers in the parking lot, looking in the windows of our 'Style. Assuming correctly that they were not looking to boost anything, she asked if there was a problem. They both said that they liked the looks of the car a...

Re: Lesson Learned, the Hard Way

POSTSCRIPT: Grateful to have my 'Style back. Looking as good as new, detailed inside and out by the body shop. They did a four-wheel alignment after determining that there was no suspension damage and the thing drives tight and true, better than before. After the initial trauma of the accident, the ...

Re: Lesson Learned, the Hard Way

Appreciate your concerns and understanding. As to my reaction to my wife's plea, we were at a point where I didn't want to p*** her off any more than she already was (enough said). Regarding the damage, the only things we hit were the raccoon, plowed snowbank on the road shoulder, and the snow in th...

Lesson Learned, the Hard Way

Last week, my wife and I were driving home on a country road while a light snow was falling. Suddenly, there was a raccoon in the middle of the road. We were doing about 50 mph (limit was 55) so I braced to hold the wheel straight and eased off the gas. The coon had made it past the center line but ...

Re: Winter Weather and the Freestyle

Glad somebody brought the subject up. I've been mildly disappointed with my FWD 'Style's winter handling. Center of gravity is higher than my old Taurus with more noticeable sway. Got stuck in a eight inch snow drift and had to be pushed out. Wound up with a dimple in my front fender where the samar...

Re: Ford Flex

Interesting post, especially since I have become much more aware of how many Freestyles are on the road in this area (Quad-Cities, Iowa and Illinois) since winter set in. This will be my first winter with my '07 FWD but it looks like a lot of people think highly of the 'Style as a heavy weather road...
