Re: water on the floor

Years ago, I had a Crown Vic II work car that did the same thing due to blocked drain. That caused condensation from the air conditioner to flood the floor. Re: Recommended Tires for 2008 Taurus X?

Have been running Hydroedges on my 'Style for close to a year now. Completely satisfied as to gas mileage and handling in all conditions. 'Nuff said.

Re: Watch out for gravel

Had the same problem last year. Sounded like the old "el" train in the Chicago loop. Mine was intermitent over a couple of weeks and was diagnosed by Ford mechanics as a hung-up caliper. Fixed under warranty, no problem since.

Re: Uh, so it's back again ...as the Explorer???

Back in January, in my post "New Explorer Coming", I made similar comparisons from the info available at the time. Suspicions confirmed, and recognized by all of you. Question: Do we have the right to wear a smirk ref. our faith in the 'Style/X design?

WOW! Thanks for the history lesson. Makes me even more curious about the forthcoming 2011 Explorer, and how much of the Freestyle lineage will be carried over in it. :D

Re: What should I look for

First, if the original Continental tires are on it, be prepared to replace them ASAP. Ours were very worn by 40,000. We chose Michelen Hydroedge tires but other threads on this site discuss many other alternatives. Overhead map light switches stick and are a bit of a problem. Watch your acceleration...

Re: Bad Gas Mileage

Ditto to what jepotter said about injecter cleaner. I throw in a bottle about once a month (every fourth fill-up) and see an immediate improvement.

Got mine from the dealer where I bought my (used) 'Style. Set of four, installed: $100.00. Money well spent. 8)

Me too. As long as Uncle Fester and Thing don't crawl out from under the dash, I can live with it.
