Re: O2 Oxygen Sensor? 06 Freestyle P0133 P0138

The sensor likely needs replacing but if you have access to a scan tool you should monitor live sensor readings to see what's actually happening. Do not buy a cheap aftermarket sensor IMHO, stick with Motorcraft. Check RockAuto.com to confirm part #s.

Re: Start then no start 05 Fredstyle

First thing I'd do is verify the electrical connections at the battery terminals, starter, and ground(s). You might also want to scan for diagnostic codes in case there are any. Sometimes you can tap the starter with a hammer (not too hard) and it can cause it to work. If that's the issue then you s...

Re: Front Subframe Hole

What's the hole from? Rust? Is it actually a structural/safety issue or just cosmetic?

http://www.car-part.com is a junkyard locator service that is very handy, I've used it a few times. I'm not sure that subframe would be a listed part but it's worth checking.

Re: oil leaks

I get that you'd want to fix it for real instead of using an additive. I think you'll find that most shops use "flat rate". In other words, you say I need XYZ done, they look up how many hours to charge you for, and then add in any tax, shop fees, enviro fees, etc. The only real difference between t...

Re: oil leaks

Save yourself some cash and add AT-205 to the crankcase, and use it at every oil change. It will stop that oil leak, it really works, I'm a big fan after trying it. It stopped a seeping rear diff seal on my 03 F150 quickly. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N1KWFRW/ It's a bit pricey on Amazon. If you eve...

Re: Upgrading Struts Replacement Brand

No Freestyle experience, but I bought Monroe SensaTrac strut/spring combos on my 96 T-bird and the ride was too bouncy/mushy for me, I wish I hadn't wasted my money on them. I don't think too highly of Monroe anymore although they are popular. I recently bought shocks for my 03 F150 and I went with ...

After deleting my cookies a couple days ago, I had to log in again just now. I'll see if your new fix sticks from now on.
It really should be fine. Apparently when I made a tweak when I did the upgrade, I missed a step. I did that step that I missed so we should be in the clear.

Re: Minor Forum Upgrade

I made one more tweak regarding the cookies in an attempt to put an end to any cookie/login issues. After your next login you should be fine. If not, contact me using the Contact Us link below.
