Re: my 1st post, manual for FS?

Haynes/Chilton are garbage next to the factory service manuals. It depends on the model specifically (I can't speak to the Freestyle version specifically) but overall I avoid those manuals like the plague. I buy only OEM shop manuals from eBay. They are more money but worth it IMHO. Yes they are eas...

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0202 - check the wiring and connectors before condemning the injector itself.

Re: Steering feels really loose on 2006 freestyle

You need to get under and inspect components yourself or carefully drive to a trusted mechanic, or get it towed. What is your knowledge level with the steering & suspension components?

Re: Spammer in Trex

It seems to me that spam appears every time I reply in the forum. Can my phone have a virus or does my google-chrome browser include a virus? There have only been 2 spam messages on this site since the 22nd when this thread was started. I'd say the problem is on your end. Try a different device/bro...

Re: Spammer in Trex

We got hit like crazy yesterday. Trying to ban email addresses on signup, etc to help stop them from getting that far. We have a couple of great moderators here but if anyone else would like to volunteer to remove spam from the forum I would be open to making more people mods. More eyeballs = faster...

Re: Engine Seized? 2005 Ford Freestyle Limited AWD

Welcome. Tow truck drivers are not mechanics! It could be an electrical issue that's causing a no crank condition. I would do more diagnosis before assuming the engine is blown. It may be, but there are things you can do before just replacing it. Scan for diagnostic codes. Visually inspect wiring an...

Re: 2018 source for a hood deflector for a new-to-me Taurus X?

Could try www.greensalescompany.com as they sell obsolete Ford parts. I think there are some other sources like them but usually the others deal with really old parts (from decades ago).

Re: Correct Oil Drain Plug Replacement Part Number?

p.s. The oversized one you do not want unless required. That means some gorilla overtightened the drain plug and stripped the threads. That means you need to drill & tap a larger size than stock.

Re: Correct Oil Drain Plug Replacement Part Number?

Did you look at Dorman's own site? You could also lookup @ RockAuto to see. If it's cheap enough, just buy one of each so you have the right one.

Re: P2195 CEL

I don't think that will help you. Look for one with graphing capability. I recommend BlueDriver @ https://amzn.to/2wDgfwx that's my go-to scan tool. It does a LOT.

If I was you, I'd put in the correct O2 sensor from the Ford dealership. Aftermarket sensors may be inferior.
