Re: Vibration when I brake.....

Braking vibration is most often caused by warped rotors. Sometimes this may be remedied by resurfacing but the best is to just replace them.

Re: Broken rear coil springs

You could have gone to an auto wrecker and saved some money too. Springs sometimes just break for no apparent reason and used springs cou be just as good as new ones.

Re: 2 issues, vibration and a clunk...

The clunk is the stabilizer bar link (needs replacing). The vibration is probably a need for wheel alignment and check of steering components.

Re: problem starting my 05 freestyle

!. Check your battery posts. If you see corrosion remove, clean both posts and cable clamps, using water and wire brush. There is acid on them so be careful. 2. Check cable connections on other ends be sure they are tight. 3. Your starter may be bad. 4. Your ignition switch may be bad. Check in that...

Re: 2005 FS Loud (Noisy) AC Compressor (working & no leaks)

Had experience with 77 Chev Caprice. Compressor seized up belt was burning. That belt only ran the compressor so i cut it off with a knife and proceeded on the trip. I thin it was about 120 degrees F. Hottest day of the decade for sure. Installed a new compressor.

Re: Africa / knowitall thread

Since Mr. Knowitall had ten in a seven seat car, did he take responsibility for the non use of seat belts or did he use a bungy cord? No, respect for the law or concern for safety? What a pity!

Re: Factory Tow Package

To save money! Years ago I asked a dealer to install a hitch which they did and when I asked where the light harness was, they answered, "You never told us to install a light harness." Hitches are sometimes used without lights such as bike carriers, hitch hauls etc.

Check your wiring under the front seats, the plug may have been kicked loose by rear seat passenger feet and something like a kleenex box.

Re: Input Shaft O Ring?

Looking at your picture, mike51merc, it looks like you have some serious damage. I definitely think you need to either replace or rebuild the part. Putting in that much effort, you need to fix it right. Your car must be otherwise in really good shape to warrant the expense in time and money. Of cour...
