Re: Key crude cut question

If you drill a small hole well outside of where the depression is you should be alright. I think if you stay away from
the word ford you might be alright. No guarantees either way. Why not use your other key and keep the broken one
for emergency?

Re: Cigar Lighter power point outage

Well, mine is an 05 freestyle so maybe there were some changes from 05 to 07. My F9 20A Cigar lighter, Data link connector (DLC) is not a lighter it is a power point. Fuse is under dash. The 17 20A PDbox is Power Point Console, The 15 20A PDbox is Power Point Cargo Compartment. However, I think you ...

Re: Cigar Lighter power point outage

Mine is the same but you do not have a cigar lighter in there do you? It's a power point.

Re: Cigar Lighter power point outage

The power point (console) fuse #17 20A is in the power distribution box. The cigar lighter is not the same as a power point. You do not have a cigar lighter unless your car was specially equipped with one.

Re: reset OIL LIFE 0%

I don't think it works on oil quality. It simply works on time and mileage.

Noisey computer, sounds like a woodpecker.

The computer in my 05 SEL AWD Freestyle is very noisy and continuous. Otherwise everything seems to be working fine. Do I have a problem or just a noisy computer? Opinions, ideas, whatever will be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Cabin Air Filter?

You can add a cabin filter to your Freestyle, many of us have. Check the archives to see how it's done. The only cost is your filter and a little labor you can do yourself.

You have rotors in the back as well which could have the same effect.

Re: Traction control, ABS, brake light on at the same time?

I had both rear bearings replaced a long time ago. I used Timken with no trouble. I did however read on this forum that someone else had trouble with an incompatible bearing. You could hunt it up in the archives if you like. I think he replaced it again to solve the problem.

Check your government salvage. I got one there for 1/4 of ford's price. Installed it myself.
