Re: ECM on recently purchased 2005 AWD

Picked up the car from the service department, paid the $1495 bill. Drove it home, to dinner, the next morning went to go shopping and then take it back to dealership to address a concern about a trim piece they left off and the check transmission indicators came on again. Limped it home and now it ...

Re: ECM on recently purchased 2005 AWD

The latest update is that the Ford dealer has installed and programmed the ECM and it works with both keys, but the car will not engage in gear. The service manager from the dealership we bought it at has authorized the Ford dealer to do a diagnosis on the car and then they will let us know of any a...

Re: ECM on recently purchased 2005 AWD

The dealership called and told us the car needs to be towed to a Ford dealer to have the system reprogrammed and that is something we need to arrange. GREAT! Called my Geico insurance and thankfully my roadside assistance will cover this tow. Hope they can get it all figured out!

Bring home a 13 year old anything and see what surprises it will have.

ECM on recently purchased 2005 AWD

Recently bought a 2005 AWD Limited model with 151,000 miles. Dealership determined it needed a transmission prior to taking delivery so they put in a used transmission :? I drove it for a week and the CEL came on. AutoZone determines it was running lean and recommended a Mass airflow sensor. Replace...

CEL

The check engine light came on the other day. I took it to AutoZone and they ran their scanner and said it registered that it was running lean and recommended a mass air flow sensor replacement. I told them I was going to wait until my mechanic could do that repair. (I didn’t want to spend the $98 t...

Is there a site you used to look up the part number for that particular bolt?

Embarrassed- I lost a bolt. Help

I removed the bracket to replace my transaxle roll resistor (upper motor mount) and one of the long 13mm bolts vanished. Does anybody have an extra one they would be willing to sell/send me or a link to where I can buy one of these bolts? I would be so thankful.

New addition

Hello all. Just picked up a 2005 Freestyle Limited AWD for my wife and I. 150,175 miles. The dealer we bought it from put it through safety inspection and replaced the transmission. Already had to replace the top motor mount/transaxle roll resistor (I lost a bolt). Drives nice. Looking forward to al...
