Re: Engine revs and tries to lunges when applying the breaks

So I replaced the air filter since it was pretty dirty! I also cleaned the throttle body (P061B and P2106), and replaced the fuel rail sensor (P0193). Just left the negative unhooked the whole hour it took me for that. When I started the car the check engine light was off and the lunging completely ...

Wondering what this thing is

Taking apart the filter housing and hoses again this time for the throttle body. Never knew what this(picture) was but I sure am curious. Can't find that specific part on rock auto just to see the name of it.

Anyone else know? Specifically the box thing attached to the hose.

Re: Engine revs and tries to lunges when applying the breaks

Starting to have this problem myself while throwing P061B P2106 codes. Also have had another code P0193 that has been on for as long as I've owned the car. Confirmed not fat footing since I replicated it very consistently with what my wife told me just in the driveway. It seems to have the greatest ...

Re:

Once I had myself. My wife and all four children in the car, while pulling a 1500 pound trailer. The freestyle pulled this load nicely at 75 mph. However, if I was going to do this regularly. I would definitely have to have a trailer with its own breaks. I was very concerned about the strength of t...

Re: AC Only Blows Cold when Moving

Hi BillRod, The forum thread below outlines some of the specifics around replacing the scroll/compressor control value: https://www.myfordfreestyle.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4329 If you do a forum, or even Google, search you will find plenty of additional information. There several videos on YouTu...

Re: Many trouble codes.....

Glad you got it figured out! I swear the whole time I was reading this I just had alternator screaming in my head. The alternator typically when it goes bad will not generate enough power for the car to run, which then drains the battery. Once the battery gets to a low enough point you can have a la...

Re: Should I buy?

I'd go for it given no hidden issues. Living in Minnesota with my freestyle and this thing handles snow and ice like a boss. Almost rather take that out during a storm than my truck!

Just ran across this, anyone know if it's credible? Seems dirt cheap. Honestly I didn't know they made manuals such as this.

Re: Rotors and pads recommendations?

General recommendation just try to get ceramic pads, and if you can afford them coated rotors to prevent rust. I shop amazon, or rockauto for all my car parts. Occasionally I'll get stuff from the napa near me.
