Re: 2006 freestyle with 87000 miles, WONT START

just as a side note if the engine does not turn over a real quick trick is put it in neutral and see if it starts you would be surprised how common this is if it does start it should be a pretty simple fix

Just as a follow up I just changed the oil and the front and back engine mounts and I already did both roll restrictors I still haven't changed the one on the transmission just trying to let my mom choose if its worth it to change the trans fluid and filter again

Re: Should I buy?

A 06 or 07 model has a much lower chance of tranny issues than the 05 models but at 90k miles you should be fine with the freestyle if you ever need assistance with maintenance spark plugs, tranny fluid etc send me a email

Re: Should I buy?

I own a five hundred with 210,000 miles and overall it's very reliable but IMO I think I would rather have the Taurus X over the freestyle as long as you change the water pump you should be fine but if you have to get the freestyle it's still a good choice as long as you change the cvt fluid

Re: Intermittent p0701 HELP! 2006 ford five hundred AWD

Yeah I'm planing on changing the hp filter when I put in the new motor mounts and do the oil change and do the trans fluid again so I'm just waiting for a long weekend where I'll have time it's a shame because the tranny fluid only has 10k on it

Re: Intermittent p0701 HELP! 2006 ford five hundred AWD

Yeah after this I probably will just leave the filters alone. luckily I only need like two or three quarts because I initially bought a 12 qt case from ford for $240 which is insane but with 210,000 miles after this were probably just going to do oil changes and just ride it out until she doesn't wa...

Re: Intermittent p0701 HELP! 2006 ford five hundred AWD

Thanks for the reply Because I've been worried that the trans was toast and my mom kinda needs it to get to work. before I pull the pan which was a pain last time I'm going to fix that capacitor wire that I damaged before I spend another $100 on more fluid one thing I'm definitely not doing is using...

Re: Intermittent p0701 HELP! 2006 ford five hundred AWD

Could the damaged radio interference capacitor wire cause this because it only really started happening after the wire got damaged
