Re: 2005 Freestyle limited radio antenna source?

Is there any other vehicle that has that type of antenna? When I call them to ask if they have one am I specifically asking if they have a freestyle antenna?

2005 Freestyle limited radio antenna source?

Does anyone know where I might get a replacement radio antenna? It looks as if someone has taken ours off the car. It looks like they just popped it out of the base?

The oil change frequency is pre-programmed for 5,000 miles driven, if you like me I use
synthetic oil and go about 7,000 miles between oil changes.

Switching over to synthetic oil is the way to go.
Yes, we use synthetic too. So we should go to 7000 before oil change?

Re: 2005 Ford Freestyle limited oil change frequency

OK So we do not think it was reset and he reset it now. So now we are off track? Or does it actually read oil %?

2005 Ford Freestyle limited oil change frequency

Hi
I was wondering how often should the oil be changed on a 2005 Freestyle? We had it changed in 11/2018 and the car is saying 0% oil ....time to change. Is this normal? Not too soon?

Re: Rear wiper arm repair

OK, ds Thank you! It is pouring down rain here today, so cannot try that yet. We noticed a nut sitting in the tray of the back rear passenger side window. We are thinking that may belong to the rear wiper arm. The previous owner left that there for something, so we shall see ;)

Re: Rear wiper arm repair

Reviving this old thread. ;) The wiper hangs down and cleans the logo when on. lol Not helpful. I forgot to ask the mechanic on the last two visits. Is this something we can fix ourselves?

Re: 2005 Ford Freestyle limited slipping acceleration issue

The car has been repaired and here is what it turned out to be. First, Auto Zones scan did not bring up any error codes, nor did my brothers he brought over. We took it to the mechanic and it turned out to be spark plugs/ignition coils. He tested for misfire at idle under load and found weak coils f...

Re: 2005 Ford Freestyle limited slipping acceleration issue

Very informative reply. Thank you very much ds32928. My brother has a code reader. I do not know which kind, but he will be bringing it by today or tomorrow and we have an Auto Zone nearby. Between the 2 of those options, I hope for some insight into the problem. I will update this post along the wa...

Re: 2005 Ford Freestyle limited slipping acceleration issue

Currently, Metromile insurance is using that OBDII connector. Which code readers are reliable? He is taking it to the mechanic Saturday and I would like to keep him (the mechanic) honest by buying a code reader and running it before he goes.

Re: 2005 Ford Freestyle limited slipping acceleration issue

OK My guy went into engineering mode and when it got to DTC code it said "Continuous DTC $9352" He said everything after that looked like they all had a code. The list is long, are you looking for specific codes? He made a note of some of them like PCM data $5000 and transmission data $00f0, ABS TT ...

Re: 2005 Ford Freestyle limited slipping acceleration issue

Come back with any trouble codes if any from a code reader or use the in vehicle engineering mode which will show DTC's in the info screen in the gauge cluster. Do a search for freestyle engineering mode if you cant get to a chain auto parts store to have them use their code reader at no charge. Th...

2005 Ford Freestyle limited slipping acceleration issue

We have had this car for a few months and I love it. Just recently though it feels like it is slipping when accelerating. The rpm gauge does not bounce when this happens, which has me believe it is not a transmission slipping. More like it is missing. It has close to 200,000 miles on it and we do no...
