Re: Went into "limp" mode after setting cruise control

Well the only code that stands out to me is the "PO715" code. There might have been a short in the input speed sensor on the transmission, causing it to enter limp mode. I have had my Freestyle make an audible clunk noise before, but never had it go into limp mode because of it. I have also had a sh...

Re: Deep vibration at 1300-1700 RPM

Just a thought, could you possibly take a video or audio recording while your car is vibrating to see if we can hear anything. It may help.

Re: Trailer Wiring

What are you planning on towing with your Freestyle? I don't tow anything with my Freestyle , but I know that this kit works by installing it in line with the tail light harnesses on the right and left and sending the signal to the four pin trailer connector. Amazon's "Will it fit" feature is pretty...

Re: Deep vibration at 1300-1700 RPM

Lord_Snax The engine running rough has been solved with all the engine work done. And all the spark plugs were properly gaped. Upon yesterdays visit to another mechanic they believe that the vibration is in the new pipes flex. So I started a return and another exhaust is on its way. Alrighty, I hop...

Re: Deep vibration at 1300-1700 RPM

You mentioned that you put the Seafoam in via the brake booster. I personally never heard of people putting Seafoam in via that method. If I remember correctly, Seafoam can cause the engine to run rough after first using it. There may be a little still left in the brake booster that is causing the e...

Re: CODE P0634

Here check this out. Apparently, it is an over heating issue. Make sure the transmission module is being cooled correctly or it could be a bad temperature sensor inside the transmission module.

Re: Leaving the Freestyle family soon

Just curious if your vehicle has sold already. I just lost the transmission in my 2005 Freestyle today at 170K. Ouch man! If you plan on getting a new one, be wary of A1 Auto (I think it was). I have heard some horror stories about them not re-building the transmissions for these cars correctly and...

Re: throttle body adjustment gone wrong !

I think its time for a new throttle body. Those things are sensitive and are full of electronics, and are electronically driven. Unless you can put it back together the same way it was before, I doubt you can fix it. Also, make sure all your spark plug gaps are all set to .045" Anything bigger or sm...

Re: Deep vibration at 1300-1700 RPM

I am kind of stumped on this one, but the transmission does have a bearing or bushing on the through shaft on the transmission behind the torque converter. If that goes bad, it can cause a trans fluid leak, so it may be a contributing factor to your vibration issue. On the other hand you mentioned t...

Is this for your A/C or your transmission?

If it is for your A/C, try Rock Auto

Re: silicone o-ring for EGR

Have you tried the dealership? You may not be able to get just the o-ring, but you maybe able to get the hole EGR kit and it should have an o-ring in it.

Hope this helps,

Re: Leaving the Freestyle family soon

When you pulled on the truck scale, did you have the camper hooked to the car or did you disconnect the camper and weighed it separate from the Hyundai? The freestyle has a curb weight (weight of the car alone with no one in it), of about 4,000lbs, and your Hyundai has a curb weight of about 2,600lb...
