Re: Freestyle 2005 limited AC blowing cold on drivers side and rear, 10-15 deg warmer on passangers side

So the lastest update. I got a mechanic to suck out the ac system and vacuum it for 30mins. It showed no leaks on the computer. We changed the scroll valve and filter and refilled to 2.6 pounds I think (it states under the hood). Now the front works great and the rear(Aux) is bad. To me it seems to ...

Re: 2005 Ford FreeStyle Driver’s Side Seat Heater Replacement

So, I was following this post and decided to leave the seat in the car to make this repair. I figured that I could probably leave the last set of hog rings running closest to the center of the car and fold the leather back. Seemed to work out ok. I also found a great method for opening the hog rings...

Marcus I think the evaporator cores need changing. In the dash and back, and flush the ac lines while they are out. Its the only thing I never done. You could also check for leaks. I believe half the evaporator core in the front is blocked. If you remove then let me know please how it turned out!

Re: Freestyle 2005 limited AC blowing cold on drivers side and rear, 10-15 deg warmer on passangers side

Hi, sorry I have not logged in for a time! Anyway, Ford took the dash out, fixed a couple seals flushed all AC lines and put it all back together. It is better but still not like it was. I think the evaporator core is coated with oil inside which will not flush out(system was un charged for a while ...

Re: AWD Maintence: Part 1

front PTU: giant pain to remove fluid w/a vacuum pump, sometime get 1/3 of the fluid out and have to repeat several times! This is strange. I removed the PTU oil twice using a medical syringe, like this https://photo.qip.ru/photo/lnick.fotoplenka/151246484/xlarge/180557435.jpg It is simple and fast...

Re: BACK ON BOARD WITH ANOTHER FREESTYLE

Hi I have an 05 Freestyle see you were planning a full driveline oil change. Can I ask how that went and what were the oils you replaced. I also seen you added drain plugs was this easy to do. I want change all my oils but am wondering how you knew to drill and tap the drain holes. I have no problem...

Re: Fuel gauage not registering when the fuel tank is full

Hi, Just thought I would say that I also have an issue in which the fuel gauge registers wrong for some reason. In fact the first time it had done it I had just filled up with fuel with no difference in fuel gauge position!. I ended up going into the garage to ask if the pump was pumping correctly. ...

Freestyle 2005 limited AC blowing cold on drivers side and rear, 10-15 deg warmer on passangers side

Hi, Im in a little dilemma with my Freestyle (full climate control front and back). I have an issue with the passenger side ac blowing warmer air than all the other vents. I also believe over time my flow of air has reduced coming into the cabin. I have taken it into the Ford garage spent over $2000...
