In order to re-attach the trailing arm rear bolt to the wheel knuckle, you need a cargo strap with a ratchet. This strap is the same kind you will use to secure cargo on a trailer. It is the only way i found to perform this task.
How did you actually do that ...?
This what I have going...

Re: Trailing Arm / Lateral Link

Anyone have a “fix” for this ?
Currently vehicle is up on stands, would lowering help? I’m thinking no, the elongated hope is on the other end (to the frame) and I am fully extended to be where I am in photo - so my play is actually in direction away from the knuckle 😬

Trailing Arm / Lateral Link

I will be tackling the LH Trailing arm of an 05 AWD Freestyle. Guidance on bolt sizes? Should I replace or re-use...? Other Tips? I can’t find much regarding this part, not even a consistent name... Seems both bolt heads are different sizes, as are both nuts. I think 15mm works on bolt head to knuck...

Re: Reattaching rear trailing arm

Thank you! Potential problem solved already. Did you strap the knuckle and pull towards center...? Is this why it’s called (auto zone) an adjustable trailing arm? Where/how is this marked and used for alignment ? I will be tackling the LH Trailing arm of an 05 AWD Freestyle. Heard snap after an expa...

Re: Exhaust Flex Pipe Catalytic

How can you tell it’s been redone (pardon my innocence) So basically your saying Cut a section out and fit any flex pipe in the length? I found like 150 options on OReilly Auto Parts https://www.oreillyauto.com/shop/exhaust-parts-16469/flex-pipe-17373 How can I determine the Diameter I would need to...

Re: Exhaust Flex Pipe Catalytic

I would get on eBay and try to find one used out of Texas or Arizona. You car is crazy rusty compared to mine. I am in Texas. Yes, very rusty. It’s been a concern of mine since I initially bought it. Only had 70k so I couldn’t pass up for $3k. But I just have an eerie feeling it’s seen water and fr...

Re: Best new replacement Tires

So many pointed to General Altimax RT43 I joined up as well. $400 after tax with $135 in rebates coming from DTD. Likely mount at Walmart, $10 ea. Will also add life rotate & Balance at Sam’s for $10 also. Any experience with those? https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-tires/general-altimax-rt43/p...

Exhaust Flex Pipe Catalytic

I’m experiencing a noisy ride, and I think I’m losing some power (at least I’m convincing myself of that). I liked underneath today and there is a black fabric is tearing away and has revealed a ribbed portion engine side of the CAT. 856E9845-09C6-4711-9C28-2B3B3EC4D109.jpeg From my reading it seems...

Re: No heat 2005 freestyle

Well I had the opposite problem, no A/C unless I am driving. At idle the air is not cooled... any suggestions? I had it recharged, guy told me of the issue. After driving entire summer the A/C issue is the same. It never really gets ice cold, but city driving is a bear since I’m constantly stopping ...

Re: Front Exhaust manifold leak

So did you tackle it? Was it front or Rear? Looks like I’ve got a flex pipe that needs changed. Hoping to find a good price without having to include a new CAT. I’ve got noise, and I think I’m losing some power, at least I’m convincing myself of that. The black fabric is tearing away and has reveale...
