O2 Oxygen Sensor? 06 Freestyle P0133 P0138

I have an '06 Freestyle. Getting a couple CELs. P0133 is defined as an Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1, Sensor 1) P0138 - guessing this code was triggered because of the first sensors issue. I'm having problems figuring out what sensor to get. Is this the correct part: https://www.amazon...

Re: TC Light, CEL, and some grinding

From what I have read, since the TC light is already on, the AWD is already disabled. The grinding was happening while the TC was engaged. But I'm wondering if heavy TC use tries to re-engage the AWD, which isn't working right now.

TC Light, CEL, and some grinding

I've had the TC light on for a bit. reading on here made it sound that nothing would be hurt to drive with the light on for a while. That the only side effect would be no AWD action. I'm waiting for better weather, but may just take it to a Volvo shop I found. Anyways, it snowed recently and while s...

Re: Water leak in the rear????

Thanks for the confirmation. I've got the auto HVAC cotrols and have noticed that the AC will stay on even during the low 40's.

Water leak in the rear????

does the rear AC have a separate evaporator that leaks condensation somewhere around the rear driver side? Been having a small leak that is not oil based and drys up real quick. Pretty sure it's water. Didn't smell any gas, so don't think it's that.

Re: Code P186D

Sorry about that! The member was active as recently as August so you might drop him a PM or email and ask for him to send you larger pictures. Reading over that post it shows that the DEM may be bad or the active coupling to the rear differential. "As you can see the code means the DEM is not sendi...

Re: Code P186D

P186D, You added an extra 0. Not much online for this code. Found one place saying this code is for the clutch actuator being stuck. This post has some info, but the manual information is too small to view. https://www.myfordfreestyle.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3809#p26682 Looking for help on what I...

Code P186D

Anyone have more information on this code? What needs checked or replaced? I have the traction control light on right now and this code is what appear on a reader. Saw that there is only one thread about the code and they got rid of the car rather than fix.

Re: Rear Bumper Fascia 2006 Freestyle SEL

Okay, I don't have much experience with rivets or grommets. The bumper ends are held together with rivets. Gonna see if I can get a rivet pop gun through one of the local barrow programs.

Re: Rear Bumper Fascia 2006 Freestyle SEL

Bringing this thread back to life.

I need to replace the rear upper bumper cover. Got most of it apart, but don't understand how the grommets come apart on the ends. Do I drill or pry them out?

Re: Water pump cam bolt

Well, I have learned a lot about this cars cooling system with this experience. Will do a write up for the FAQ. Biggest thing I discovered is that the keyed water pumps are bad for your cam. They weren't designed for the setup and either the pump or the cam are going to fail. Best deal on after mark...

Re: Water pump cam bolt

Dangit!!!!! I forgot that the five hundred had what I needed. The website for my local yard says they have four of them.

Still wouldn't mind hearing where to get the bolt in case the cars are picked clean.

Water pump cam bolt

Does anyone know if the dealerships carry this bolt? Had an aftermarket water pump fail and switching back to OEM style. Don't have the bolt and none of the local yards have a freestyle.

Re: 2006 Freestyle - Overheating Issue :(

Yikes, $330ish for OEM. Think I'll shop around a bit. I need to see who made the model that's on the FS right now. This water pump at A1Auto comes with a lifetime warranty for $96. A1Auto.com ACDelco on Ebay for $80. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Acdelco-252-964-water-pump-Ford-freestyle-Ford-five-hun...

2006 Freestyle - Overheating Issue :(

Bought our 2006 Freestyle a couple weeks ago. Documentation shows that the water pump had been replaced. Low coolant light came on, so I topped it off. Couple days later it started overheating. Replaced the thermostat and it seemed to be the issue as the internal gasket material was falling apart. E...
