Re: Freestyle CVT Repair In Progress

Rebuild is finished, but still having an issue... I installed a rebuilt torque converter from Torco, and im wondering if the torque converter is stuck in lockup. Are there any tests known that I can use to diagnose if its the torque converter vs. the mechatronic? In theory, the torque converter can...

Re: fuse 40, check traction control, transmission data error

Do you think that a bad ground could possibly cause this as well?
I think, problem is in EGR valve. But I am not mechanik.
I downloaded the schemes from open sources to my cloud https://yadi.sk/d/bVCqWMW250XdgQ

Re: fuse 40, check traction control, transmission data error

Let's look at the scheme. Your problem is hidden in one of six modules. I am not a mechanic, but it seems to me that you have chosen the wrong way. I would try to replace the solenoid A (or clean), check the seals, replace cvt filters

If you only need the throttle position sensor you can apply 4F9U-9E928-AC (VP4F9U-9E928-AC) from Euro FORD (1684542) ( S-MAX / Galaxy 2006- (CA1) 2.0L DuraTec 16V and 2.3L DuraTec HE Mondeo 2007- (CA2) 2.0L DuraTec 16V and 2.3L DuraTec HE Focus & C-MAX 04-08 / Focus C-MAX 03-07 (CAP) 1.8L and 2.0L D...

Re: Water in tube between valve cover and intake hose

I would replace the pcv-valve or clean it with carbon cleaner. No tools required except thin hands and neatness. It is advisable to have an option with a heated EV273 valve in a cold climate.

Re: Codes p2196 and p2198

I would suggest that the reason is too high fuel pressure in the fuel rail. First, I would test the vacuum line between the fuel pressure sensor and the intake manifold. Then I would measure the fuel pressure with a pressure gauge.

Re: Passsenger door lock not working as power lock - where to start?

In a couple of days, I’ll receive a front passenger door lock actuator from China. I used the link https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=cVQlXOc2A2s to get to the actuator. -756497778731777970.jpg how_to_remove_door_lock_actuator.jpg The old actuator can be fixed, but its a little tedius on...

Re: Bullbar for the freestyle?

I did not interest this theme for a long time, but it seems to me that my stores are worse than yours. I still have a photo of the crankcase protection. I did not install it because it is too heavy (16kg / 36lbs). ford_freestyle_crankcase_shield1.jpg ford_freestyle_crankcase_shield.jpg There would b...

Re: Bullbar for the freestyle?

Some years I'm trying to find time to remove the bullbar, 'footboard' and 'lifting' 1 "(I think you know why) .They are made from universal parts for tuning from stainless steel. These spare parts are many in stores. Perhaps the 'footboards' fit from volvo xc90 because they have the same wheelbase. ...

Re: Electrical issues 2005 Ford Freestyle

A bit of theory: -PCM uses an air temperature sensor to adjust the voltage of the generator. Therefore, it may be necessary to replace the mass airflow sensor. - Sometimes the contacts on the back of the Battery Junction Box are oxidized. It is necessary to remove the BJB and check contacts of fuse ...

Re: Running so rich you can.light exhaust fumes on fire

Pay attention to the catalytic converters. They could overheat, melt and clog up as a result of misfiring. You can slightly detach the catalysts from the exhaust manifold (at least the front bank2) and see the result. Perhaps we should be grateful to Ford for taking care of our wallets, because PCM ...

Re: Correct Oil Drain Plug Replacement Part Number?

By the way, you can use a standard bolt M12 * 1.75-30mm (1.18 ") and a copper washer or rubber + steel washers. If the threads of thread are damaged, then you can try using a bolt M12 * 1.75-40mm (1.57"). You will spend less than $ 0.5. These bolts are without magnets, but do magnet need for the 13-...
