Re: More info on CVT transmission fluid

Since my husband works for Detroit Diesel we were considering sending a sample of the the CVT fluid to be checked by the lab. Thus it would tell us the life span of the oil in the dang thing. We are the "if it aint broke....dont fix" kinda people but at the same time we are all about maintence. So t...

Re: oil change reminder

I have been using the Fram Tough Guard, its readily available at the local Wally World (wallmart)and its roughly $10.00 I figure if I replace the filter when the natural oil change is due, I figure Im still ahead rather than over exhaust my oil filter. I had to add and check until I was at the cross...

I will switch the Filter only when it sais 0% and I will replace the oil when I reach the 50% mark again. How are others doing the count on synthetic....by auctual miles driven on...

Re: Throttle Body problem...me too!

I see that other people complain of a surge followed by FailsafeMode....Mine is a little different. The first time it happened I felt a kick like a bad tranny kick...So I looked down to my info cetre which read Failsafe mode. I pulled over shortly after and restarted and it was cleared and good to g...

Re: Is a Freestyle right for me?

The Freestyle, was stated to lack in power and Im with Fraggle!!! This Vech moves when you ask it too! In fact other than the off the line disadvantage, this CUV will take you on the mile! I almost cant believe how great it is to drive. I believe that if everybody in the 30's age group drove one,......

Anyone Change spark pugs???

Just started working on a full tune up....Looks like crazyness to access the three plugs behind. Anyone have any hints? It appears as though you must remove the whole air intake to access the rears? Any one out there that has done this please reply with remarks.

Well, it happened again....I bring the Style in for service.... Complaint is as follows; Knuckling noise in the front end during tight left hand turn. Especially during the colder weather and on uneven road (gravel parking lots) my husband said it had to be CV shaft related. Got a call two hours lat...

3M PROTECTIVE FILM

I knew that this would be the case....I knoticed at the last car show that the newer models of Freestyles had that film put on from the factory....What I did notice is that it was barly worth the efforts considering how small a strip they used. When I had the dealer put it on my car after the paint ...
