Since my husband works for Detroit Diesel we were considering sending a sample of the the CVT fluid to be checked by the lab. Thus it would tell us the life span of the oil in the dang thing. We are the "if it aint broke....dont fix" kinda people but at the same time we are all about maintence. So t...
So further to my Electronic Throttle Body problem.....Car has not coded again since but I did happen to go to my local Ford Dealer to which I wandered into the Service Managers office I explained my problem and admitted to clearing the codes, I did mention to him that I have the Extended Warranty on...
I have been using the Fram Tough Guard, its readily available at the local Wally World (wallmart)and its roughly $10.00 I figure if I replace the filter when the natural oil change is due, I figure Im still ahead rather than over exhaust my oil filter. I had to add and check until I was at the cross...
On my last oil change I made the switch to synthetic oil (Mobile 1) My oil counter has me down to 10% on my current oil. I will switch the Filter only when it sais 0% and I will replace the oil when I reach the 50% mark again. How are others doing the count on synthetic....by auctual miles driven on...

I see that other people complain of a surge followed by FailsafeMode....Mine is a little different. The first time it happened I felt a kick like a bad tranny kick...So I looked down to my info cetre which read Failsafe mode. The Freestyle, was stated to lack in power and Im with Fraggle!!! This Vech moves when you ask it too! In fact other than the off the line disadvantage, this CUV will take you on the mile! I almost cant believe how great it is to drive. I believe that if everybody in the 30's age group drove one,......

2002 Ford Focus. Ended up with two kids and a 90lb Yellow Lab, Needed the space and the power to tow all around comfortably without the MiniVan look! Overall, Im a satisfied with my Freestyle, still would not trade it for anything else!
So here we go again, my third body shop experience. For those who dont remeber me I have had several issues with my Freestyle's body. 1. Peeling clearcoat - remidied by Ford Warranty, Repaint the back wheel wells, this was a good thing as I was able to get most of the road rash around the wheel repa...

Just started working on a full tune up....Looks like crazyness to access the three plugs behind. Anyone have any hints? It appears as though you must remove the whole air intake to access the rears? Any one out there that has done this please reply with remarks.

I knew that this would be the case....I knoticed at the last car show that the newer models of Freestyles had that film put on from the factory....What I did notice is that it was barly worth the efforts considering how small a strip they used. When I had the dealer put it on my car after the paint ...
