Re: Updated information on CVT fluid?

Dealer called and said yes they would change it. I have gone to this dealer many times and had always been treated fairly. I had them replace the plugs/wires and fuel filter. Neither has ever been done and she has 149k on the odometer. One issue I wanted diagnosed was heater fan would not shut off. ...

Updated information on CVT fluid?

I haven't been on here in quite awhile. The Freestyle has been passed to both my daughters and has been a great car. Called dealer today to get an oil leak looked at (front main I think) and to get various other maintenance items done, plugs, fuel filter, CVT fluid/filter changed. Service chick call...

Re: A slightly different CVT Poll

125k on our 2006. Only issue we have had was after an emergency stop, wrench light came on and into limp mode. Restart and all is normal. Changed the fluid at 75k. Will do it again this summer (the called anyway). Looking to replace with new flex. Freestyle gets demoted to oldest daughter's car. Kee...

Re: freestyle is pretty tough

that door has been painted once. One of the girls got out before she pulled into the garage and left the door open. BANG as she drove into the garage. nice big dent. SO the door gets another paint job.

freestyle is pretty tough

The wife was driving the freebie this summer and waiting to turn into the library parking lot, a grand am decided he didn't need to stop behind her. he told the officer that she should have gotten out of the way, even though a car was waiting to exit the drive (narrow). anyway, he didn't stop and re...

Re: Brake job Write-up and pictures

You guys have to think out of the box. I bought the little square tool for $7 at NAPA (local) and was having difficulties getting the pistons back in also. Then the light bulb went off. I knew I had to apply pressure, but that was difficult with just a ratchet and loose caliper, so off to the wood s...

Re: Bull bar

Ha, I think its a great idea. I am threatening to get one for my dad's '11 Jetta. Has owned it for just over a year and hit 2 deer with it (and one with his wife's jeep).

my guess would be 1 7/8" ball for a small pop up. make sure what ever size ball you need, you get the correct shank size to match the hole in your ball mount.

Re: who has Cooper CS4 touring?

Don't know how they will work on the Freestyle, as I'm "living" with my triple treads until they wear out mainly because I'm a cheap [email protected]^@#$. I do know I have a set of cooper H/T plus on my truck and love them. Great tire.

those darn snow banks. One did the same thing to me. I just went to the local body shop. Got a heck of a discount by paying cash. If he doesn't have to mess with the insurance company, things are much cheaper!

Re: who has Cooper CS4 touring?

still haven't bought tires. Thinking of buying a Flex instead. Again happy wife makes a happy house. If I don't do the CS4's I'm not sure. Maybe Multi-Mile. They are a private brand and have been making Semi tires for many many years. They have the same warranty and ratings at the CS4s

Drove a Flex Saturday

Well, the wife is getting the bug for a different car. Went and test drove a '11 Flex on Saturday. Gotta say they fixed a lot of gripes I have about the '06 Freestyle, but the Flex feels like a MUCH larger vehicle than the Freebee. I think the wife's biggest complaint is the road noise on the Freest...

Cooper makes the CS4 touring. I know several people who own a set and love them. I have Cooper Discoverer H/T plus on my Ram and will definitely buy another set. Great tires
