Re: who has the most miles ?

122k original owner.

No CVT issues. A/C busted. Otherwise, runs better than it deserves.

Ford Territory Australian Freestyle Spotted in LA.

I have an 05 Freestyle and while driving home from San Pedro (the port town of Los Angeles) I spotted an all grey car that was RHD and looked very much like a Freestyle from the rear. As I got closer, I saw the blue oval and in individual letters (ala the Freestyle) Territory. The car had Michigan p...

Re: List your current mileage.

Hi. My 05 has 56,000 miles. Purchased new in June 06.

Has anyone noticed that the My Ford site
has been replaced? I can't access my service records.

Re: Rear View Mirror shakes

Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to take it apart this weekend. I'm sure the mount is tight and it is the ball joint that has failed.

Rear View Mirror shakes

Has anyone else had a problem with the rearview mirror shaking? My mirror will shake when the car is hot, it goes away when the interior temp cools down. The service guy at the dealer said that the mirror was losing it's tension. I'd like to replace it my self, I just don't know where to start. My c...

Re: What cars did we get rid of to get our Freestyles!!!

I replaced a 1997 Ford Contour SEL V-6. It was a fine car that had been rear-ended one too many times. Previous to this car I bought only Volkswagens. My last VW an 87 GTI was poorly built and expensive to maintain. Since I switched to Ford, I've forgotten what it was like to pay $500 and up for mai...

I purchased my 2005 SEL on 6-9-06. Current mileage is 25,300 with only minor service required. I still have the OEM tires.

Many congrats on the wedding anniversary and the new FS. I was a loyal VW owner as well until purchasing a Ford Contour in 97. My 2005 FS replaced the Contour and has been a great car to drive and operate. My problems with VW were very similar, high cost of maintenance and insurance and poor reliabi...

Freestyle First Year Review

6/9/07 After one year of service and 16,200 miles of mostly California Freeway driving, my 2005 Freestyle SEL has performed flawlessly. I have had no maintenance or driveability issues at all. Just normal maintenance and trips to the car wash have been required. My MPG has always been well above 20 ...

I had a 97 Ford Contour that died after too many miles and having been rear-ended a few times. On my trips to the Ford Dealer I saw the Freestyle and the 500. I liked both. Fortunately for me, my Ford Dealer gave me a great deal reducing the price of the Freestyle and giving me a generous trade -in ...

Hi. As a former VW/Volvo buyer, I never thought I would be driving a Ford. My Freestyle is my second Ford and is better than the first and that was the best car I ever owned. I also own a Honda Odyssey and the Ford Freestlye is flat out quieter and more fun to drive. I realized my prejudices were af...

2005 SEL FWD Purchased 6/9/06 and now has 8,262 miles.

No issues other than normal maintenance.

I now see another Freestyle a day and the local dealer is down to a single Norsea Blue SEL on the lot. I bet this is the last one until the 08's arrive.

Memo to Ford

I think that Ford not only has poorly promoted this car, it is failing to learn any lessons from this. Changing the drivetrain won't make a hill of beans difference to most buyers. The engineers, I think, got it right. The marketing types and to a great extent, the dealers were clueless. This post s...

Freestyle Why No Tach Redline

Tonight as I was driving home I realized for the first time after three months of ownership, that the Freestyle tach does not have a redline or a yellow warning field. Is there a reason why? Is this an invitation to take it to the limit?

I just had my first oil change at three months and 3596 miles. The service was free from the dealer. I asked them to check the brakes as I hear/feel on occasion a noise/pulse from the rear brakes. The service tech told me that they found nothing but that in a "few months Ford was coming out with new...
