Re: Rear brake pistons will not turn in

There won't be a fourth time. By then I WILL be driving something else. Little did I know it came too soon. Put in a new rear bearing assembly Saturday afternoon, went for a ride 3 hours later and totaled the Freestyle, hit from behind. Unless they unexpectedly decide to rebuild it, this is probabl...

Re: 07 FWD rear grinding noise

Yep, rear grinding was a left rear bearing. Bought a bearing, put it in Saturday afternoon, went for a ride 3 hours later and totaled the car. Hit from behind. Go figure, in the last month: 2 new tires, synthetic oil & filter change, new brake pads & new rotors front & back, wheel bearing assembly &...

07 FWD rear grinding noise

07 Limited FWD 150K miles, rear grinding noise, drivers side, after doing a brake job (new rotor & pads) noise is still there. Thinking it's the rear wheel bearing gone bad. Going to replace the assembly and was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking out for when I have everything r...

Re: Rear brake pistons will not turn in

The first time needle nosed pliers worked fine.

Second time needle nose pliers worked but took considerable pressure.

Third time IMPOSSIBLE without the tool.

There won't be a fourth time. By then I WILL be driving something else.

Re: Water Leak Issue -Need Everyone to Complain for Recall!

07 with a moon roof. Leak started out just in the front. Now the back is filling up too. I've checked the drains and water runs through them quite nicely so puzzled as to why it's ending up inside the car.

Re: Rear brake pistons will not turn in

Gees I'm slow to reply but I'm back. Bought the Harbor Freight tool and completed the rear brakes. Hard to turn but would have been impossible without the tool. Then a week later I did the fronts. Using the tool saved me so much over having the job done at a mechanic it more than paid for it's self....

Rear brake pistons will not turn in

Yep, I've read all the posts and still can not find an answer though it may be out there somewhere and I'm just not seeing it. 2007 Limited 150K, trying to put on my third set of rear pads so this is not new to me or my mechanic friend that is helping me as he did the first 2 times. Awesome posts go...

Re: Surge or Lunge Poll

Cleaned the throttle body on mine and the surge (pretty bad) immediately went away. Thanks to whoever posted the solution on this site, saved me a lot of time and money.

Re: Brake Shake

When I get home after getting new tires I loosen & re-tighten the lug nuts then check the tire pressure. There have been times I thought the nuts weren't coming off and some several barely on there. I've also NEVER gotten home and had the correct tire pressure after purchasing new tires. Bought a se...

Re: Drivers side seat heater repair and costs

Add me to the list, drivers side has been out the last 2 winters. With the exception of a Subaru I've always owned Fords, 7 in all and this one has had every problem on the forum. Seat heat out, brake pedal squeaks, passenger rear seat won't unlatch, CVT issues, and the list goes on. I agree with a ...
