Re: First post for a 6 year owner of 2006 Freestyle

Hi musicman, Welcome to the forum and +1 for checking the scroll-valve first and foremost. What symptoms are you experiencing that make you think compressor? Is the air hot at red-lights but cooler at highway speed? If yes, the scroll valve is certainly suspect. Check Here: (section 4c) http://www.m...

Re: Wrecked It Out - options?

A Rav 4? You're kidding! LOL! Yes Wheelman - a Rav4. A surprisingly well laid out vehicle from the maintenance & repair aspect. I've driven Honda's and Toyotas both - and it's always a 'knots in your stomach' type of experience laying down that much cash for something with 'high mileage'. An impres...

Re: My gauges just went out!

Hi Derby - I would first start with the simplest/cheapest solutions to rule out a simple fix first. Have you checked the fuse box? Also, could it be that the ignition switch is on the way out? I'm not certain that a poor ignition switch would cause the symptoms you describe though....and still havin...

Wrecked It Out - options?

Hey guys, It's been a while - The wife was involved in an accident and wrecked out the 2005 FS with 65,000miles. She was not at fault - and being 9mths pregnant Thank God both her and the baby girl are fine. I need some advice. The car has been crumpled up on the front passenger side - bad enough to...

Re: Is it necessary to change the filter with CVT fluid chan

Thanks for the reply Jackwatts- Yup I'm not thrilled that I overfilled it. I've only driven it about 5 miles since then and don't plan to until I get it just right. I believe you're probably right about spilling some in the subframe and it was probably some from the filter change vs my oops moment f...

Re: Is it necessary to change the filter with CVT fluid chan

Hi gang - Quick question about the cvt fluid change... I've recently done the filter fluid job and am fairly certain I've overfilled it. 2 things: I notice a small spot on the driveway after this job (silver dollar sized over night) and have taken the trans mount off AGAIN but for the life of me can...

Re: Is it necessary to change the filter with CVT fluid chan

hey guys!
Long time no talk. I wanted to say that i'll be doing my 60k mile CVT high-pressure filter/fluid change this week.

Does anyone need any pictures that we may have missed?

I'm happy to take them while i've got it apart.

Castle - I own one of these and it was actually #2 on my list. Narrowly beat out by the tool I posted and probably only because the #1 tool is newer to me. The impact driver that you posted is one of those tools that you may only use once or twice in a lifetime, but there's nothing else like it for ...

Re: Adding HomeLink

Hey bdresch -
unfortunately the picture isn't working...I was able to see it by right clicking on the broken link and pasting the url in my browser window.

I think you may have missed a step when posting the photo.
Try these.

The install looks very nice btw - I'm pumped to do this myself now.
