Wiper blades available

I recently sold my Freestyle and have a set of Motorcraft OEM windshield blades and a Trico exact fit 13" rear window blade available. These are new still in package. Looking for $30 for the set.

Re: Newbie with an 05 Freestyle with 262K!

Re: Glove Box Light?

I used a Radio Shack AA battery holder with a small push off/on switch, and a small bulb holder to use in the glove box. SImpler than running wires to a 12 volt source.

Re: Need cladding touch up paint for 05 Freestyle(light gunmetal

I also have an 05 Freestyle with the same colors. The dealer did not have any info on the cladding color. I asked how they could sell the paint combination and not have a code for the color. No sensible answer received. I did find that the DupliColor spray Medium Gray DS GM 347 is a good match. I us...

Re: a TX that spent a long time on the lot

Check the brakes and rotors. Purchased a car which had been on the lot a year and severely rusted rotors. Dealer wanted to resurface but I insisted on new rotors and pads since refacing would reduce the longevity. I paid for new parts not resurfaced ones.

Color match

Those with the Limited which has same color on the vehicle and cladding should have no problem obtaining touch up paint. Those of us with a different cladding color are not so lucky. I have a Silver Frost 05 which has Light Gunmetal cladding and cannot find a color code for the cladding. I have also...

TSB on brakes

I checked the NHTSA web site and found one notice about thumping in the brakes but nothing about early wear. Do you have the specific number as I would like to have a copy?

Wheel well coating

I have a 2005 and had the same problem. Dealer cleaned any loose material and applied new coating under warranty.

Rear deflector

I have a rear deflector on my 2005 Freestyle and it does a great job of keeping the window and hatch clean. I have had other vehicles with deflectors and all have performed well. This is not the rear spoiler which is mostly decorative and painted to match the body. The deflector is a smoked color po...

Warranty

There are several levels of Ford Motor extended warranties covering different parts for various prices. You can preview on the Ford website. I purchased the Premium Care for three years or 60k miles for $750 from a local dealer after receiving quotes from several dealers found with a Google search. ...

Rear spoiler

I have the smoke rear air deflector as shown in the Ford accessories booklet and it keeps the rear window clear. The spoiler has a different shape and looks better but does not adequately channel the air to keep the glass clean. I prefer the spoiler look but gave in to the practical benefit of the d...

Keypad info

I recall reading that the dealer can recover the code by checking a database they have available for the auto vin #. It might be worth checking before taking the time to remove the door panel.

Haldex AWD

I remember reading a few months ago that this system does not actually shift in and out of fwd and awd but that there is always a small amount(10%)of traction diverted to the rear wheels. I have not again found the reference, but if this is true then there is not a shifting in or out but a change in...

Ins. classification

Here in MA Amica has my 2005 SEL listed as a wagon. Also have a 2003 Windstar which is listed as a wagon. It had been my understanding that there is a clear difference between a van and other vehicles.

Third row foot room

My 2005 Freestyle has the 60/40 split second seat and the split third row seats. I find the room under the second row seats so low that it is not very easy to fit ones feet while sitting in the third row. I know that the second row buckets have some forward travel so I was interested in knowing if t...
