Re: Trans fluid - what everyone is using

I used Valvoline CVT fluid. No issues. 300,000 miles now.

Re: Replace Front Axles on 2005 FS FWD

The vibration is coming from within the transmission. Mine has done it for years. I too, replaced axles, balanced wheels, new tires, new brakes.

Re: my old 2005

Geez! You've had your share of issues! Getting ready to retire my 2007, soon. Has 297,000+ on her at the moment. Tires, struts, brakes, battery, a starter, oil changes, blower motor, both rear wheel hubs, both CV axles...I think that's about it. Changed the trans fluid too.

Re: Correct Oil Drain Plug Replacement Part Number?

Just go to your local Ford dealer parts counter. Get the right plug for most likely a better price than online + shipping. No fartin' around.

Re: RSS beepers don't work

Right. I was the one who told you where it was. ;) But you are saying there is a separate module that contains only the speaker, aside from the actual module w/the 'brains', aren't you? Or maybe there is an additional, external speaker module? The 1st pic is for the 500, the second is the Freestyle.

I didn't know there was a separate speaker - I thought it used the radio speakers.
Nope. Speaker inside the module casing.

Re: RSS beepers don't work

Speaker? The speaker IN the unit was bad? Where on earth would you get one and how did you think of that problem?

Re: RSS beepers don't work

Well, considering there is NOTHING ELSE IN THE SYSTEM, yes. You have power, so the switch is working correctly, the sensors have power and are working correctly, leaves the module that controls everything.

Re: RSS beepers don't work

Once again, the issue is the module behind the right rear door on the pillar near the roof. That is what needs to be replaced.

Re: RSS beepers don't work

Find a You Pull 'n Pay place and hope for the best. All you should need is the module itself. One of these is a heck of alot easier to do and forget about the factory one. I have these on 2 different vehicles and love them! Can't beat it for $15!!!
