Re: Intermittent Low/Struggling Idle After Spark Plugs Change

So, I've pretty much got the same problem being discussed on this thread. I had a "P0302" code pop up on my OBD scan. The car had been "dogging" it for a month until the alternator light came on. I changed the #2Coil and ALL the plugs. I turned it on and "P0106" - MASS AIR PRESSURE came on. I have n...

Re: Cylinder 2 misfire code

Well, for a couple of days now the engine light has been off. So, I'm wondering if this could be an intermittent problem or maybe a one time error?

@splicer, are you saying change a wire from say the #3 cylinder and check?

Thx guys

Re: Cylinder 2 misfire code

I just checked the picture, it was a P0302 code. I'm a little nervous on removing the plug b/c it's been a problem in the past. I've been looking on videos and researching. but it's not very encouraging.

Re: Cylinder 2 misfire code

Yes, I'm sure I did it. In my defense, I think it was done by the previous owner.

Cylinder 2 misfire code

Hi all, My wife has been getting low power on the Ford for about a week now. I hooked up mu OBD-I I reader and P0309, CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE. I'm going to change the plug this weekend, but I'm fairly sure that was the plug that got cross threaded about 3 years ago. Any suggestions on how to approach thi...

Re: Motor mount cracked

Many thanks Mike51Merc. I understand how to jack up the car - it's the motor that was confusing to me. I've looked online several times on the 2x4 and how to place it under the pan. Seems to me that there should be a better spot on the motor to place it on stands.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Motor mount cracked

Ok, I have the part ordered from RockAuto. Should be here by Friday. I'm hesitant about the placement of my jack. I've looked online at placing a 2"X4" on the jack UNDERNEATH THE OIL PAN. I've always been told NOT to put anything under the oil pan. Can you do this? If you can't place a 2"X4" board u...

Motor mount cracked

Hi all, I have a cracked mount under the engine and in front. It appears that this will be costly to replace($900 here in Cali) and I'd like to do it myself seeing Autozone has the part for $51. How does one get the Catalytic Converter down? That appears to be the part in the way, other than that it...

Re: EGR valve nut size

I don't know if I can hi-jack this thread. I'm having a helluva time getting that big nut off of the egr valve. I'm trying to remove the upper intake manifold cover to change the plugs, but that nut is a tough nut to crack. I put a little oil and a little wd-40. I DON'T HAVE A 1-1/16" wriench. But I...

Spark Plug Labeling

Hi all, I'm getting ready to change the plugs due to a P031, error on my code reader. Does anyone know how the wires are labeled? I only ask because the code is for cylinder 1, I just want to be sure I can check aftrer changing them out. Thanks, Also, where is there a Haynes repair manual for this c...

I just hooked up my OBD code reader to the Ford. I get a P0301 error code, "Cylinder1 misfire" could this be the plugs?

Re: CVT troubles or ???

I'm having similar problems on 2005 Freestyle. The car is really "herky-jerky" on the road lately and I cleaned up the TB, but still have the same problems. The alternator light just started coming on, but I had it checked at O'reilly's and it looks perfect. I think I'm going to order a new TB, but ...
